Was initially disappointed as one of the plastic locks didn't seem to work or lock, in my haste to try the product I hadn't read the intructions – big mistake!
I started a return to amazon and then was directed to a video clip where after watching I was able to sort the problem.
These are lightweight but sturdy & have so far been easy to use and I'm sure will be benficial in increasing my mobility after spinal decompression surgery.
If you are long distance walking then I would imagine you may need gloves as the hand grips are a little unforgiving.
