Designed with a full metal body and sideplate, giving the reel superb strength and durability to withstand the rigours of any kind of saltwater angling. As with all PENN reels, the Combat 3 is built to be rugged in all conditions and to go the distance.
Smooth and strong HT-100 carbon fibre drag washers that give anglers precise control over the fight even against the biggest monster predator fish of the sea. They help you play big fish more easily and are extremely resistant to wear.
Smooth retrieves every time are guaranteed thanks to the reel’s Techno-Balanced rotor. The reel also features a Superline spool, which allows you to tie braid straight onto the spool thanks to a grippy rubber surface – no need for backing.
4 sealed stainless steel ball bearings and an instant anti-reverse bearing give this reel ultra-smooth performance and prevent any rotor back play, increasing your hook-ups and overall control.
The reel is available in four of the most popular sizes from 2500 through to 6000, with the 6000 size featuring a power handle. The smaller 2500 and 3000 sizes are perfect for inshore lure and Bass fishing. The 4000 is best suited for slightly heavier fishing or in deeper water. The 5000 and 6000 are great for larger fish such as Tope, Rays, Conger and even Blue Sharks.
