Why does the reading vary when measuring the same spot?
For the same soil location, readings may vary due to different insertion depths and contact quality with the soil. It is recommended to measure at a depth of 3 to 5 inches.
Why does the device show the same value at different spots?
Each measurement must be actively triggered. After inserting the probe into a new position, you must press the “MEAS” button again to start detection. Keep the device still and wait for 8 seconds, then read the result once the numbers stabilize.
