A whistle is a whistle is a whistle, I guess. Plus points on this one:
-it's loud
-it comes with a lanyard to sling round your neck or attach to a rucksack strap
-it seems well constructed/designed and unlikely to block or freeze up
Minus points:
-the lanyard is a pain if you don't want it. If you don't want it, why pay for it?
-the whistle is quite pricey [I find Lifesystems' stuff tends to be].
So- if you need the lanyard and want a basic no-nonsense whistle, you won't go far wrong with this one.

特に自然の中では、声が届かない・聞こえづらい状況もあるため、音による合図手段としてホイッスルは重要な備えのひとつ。
このライフシステムのホイッスルはとにかく音が大きく、通る！
安価な類似品とは一線を画す「110dB」という音量は、遠くまで届き、風の強い日や沢のそば、波のある海でもしっかり聞き取れました。
試しに広場で子どもに吹かせてみましたが、小学生の娘でも無理なく吹けて、しっかり鳴らせていました。
また、金属製ではなく軽量で首から下げても気にならないのも◎。
カラビナなどに付けてザックにぶら下げるだけでも、いざという時にすぐ使えます。色も目立つオレンジなので、荷物の中で見つけやすいのも地味に助かります。
防災リュックにも1つ追加しておきました。万が一の遭難や地震時などにも、音で居場所を知らせる手段として信頼できるギアだと感じます。
